FAQ
Application
How much sunscreen should I use at one time?
Most of us don’t use the proper amount of sunscreen. Did you know that an average adult in a bathing suit
should use 30 ml (the size of a golf ball) and 20ml on a child for each application? This helps ensure that you
adequately cover all exposed areas. Make sure you don’t miss the less obvious bits, such as ears, feet, and
behind the knees, but avoid eyelids where children tend to rub their eyes.
Why should sunscreen products be applied at least 20-30 minutes before I go out in the sun?
This is really important as it ensures that the product has dried and formed a protective film on the skin
by the time it’s exposed to the UV rays.
How often should I reapply?
If I use my sunscreen along with a separate insect repellent product, will the SPF still be as effective?
Not necessarily. Application of another product may in fact diminish the SPF, or compromise the effectiveness of both products. Always read the label.
I usually wear moisturizer under my makeup. Now I'd like to wear sunscreen on my face, too. In what order should I apply?
Apply your moisturizer first, sunscreen second, and makeup last. For best results, allow some drying time between applications.
